The Salvation Army is committed to “Doing The Most Good” supported by donors and partners who share a desire to help our neighbors in need. When hard times hit, we’re here to help meet all of the basic needs—whether it’s a bag of groceries, a hot meal, or assistance paying rent. Providing care and aid for those living on the fringes of society is at the heart of The Salvation Army’s mission.
Daily Volunteer Opportunities:
Feed the Hungry
Come to our Soup Kitchen and help us feed individuals and families in need. We could use your help prepping food, serving, and cleaning. You are able to volunteer between 7AM-7PM, Monday through Sunday.
Please register with Ms. Liz Salazar first at our front office between Monday-Friday, 9AM-12PM, 1-5PM. You must bring a valid picture I.D. for registration.
For groups of three volunteers or more, please call Mario Quintanilla at 956-682-1468 to register and to schedule your group service project.
All volunteers in the kitchen must wear closed shoes, have long hair pulled back, and wear pants and t-shirts. No sleeveless shirts or sandals allowed. The Salvation Army will provide aprons, hair nets and gloves.
Also, volunteers must commit to a minimum of three (3) hours per visit unless waived by kitchen supervisor ahead of time.
Sort Donated Goods Come to our warehouse and help us sort and organize donated goods for our Family Store. Tasks include unloading donated goods from donors' vehicles, carrying boxes, and sorting. We could use your help anytime between 9AM-5PM, Monday through Saturday.

Clean and Tidy Family Store Come to our Family Store and help us clean and tidy our space. Tasks include hanging up clothes, dusting, filling our shoe shelves and bookshelves, cleaning windows, etc. We could use your help anytime between 9AM-5PM, Monday through Saturday.
